Welcome to Creglea Barns


We're a small farm based just above the famous Niarbyl Bay. You may have seen it in the film Waking Ned!  We are situated on the West Coast of the Isle of Man, and several beaches are within walking and driving distance. The sunsets here are stunning and you'll definitely need your camera at the ready. 

 Once you turn down the drive, you'll wind around the farm and arrive with some of the most breathtaking views of the Irish Sea, facing Ireland and Scotland. 

Creglea Barns are situated off the main road on a working farm and accessed by a tarmac drive followed by a rough drive.   We host two accomodations: Curlew Cottage and Oystercatcher. They are named after the many Curlews and Oystercatchers that we hear and see at Creglea Farm. Each of the cottages has the following facilities: central heating, bath, shower, dishwasher, washing machine, drying facilities, fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, hob, coffee machine, slow cooker, smart TV and WIFI. There are TVs in each of the bedrooms. All linen is provided and a change of linen will be provided weekly or fresh linen upon request. Should you be avid walkers, we have got everything you need to get you ready for your next day's walk.  


Parking is available on site beside the cottages.

The accommodation is so close to one of the best scenic spot in the island - Niarbyl bay. The drive to the accommodation was breath taking and lots of scenery in the southwest side of the island

We had a lovely few days at the Oyster Catcher, the location was lovely on the quiet coast of Niarbyl with views out to sea.

Our accommodation was beautiful, fresh, clean and with all the things you expect to have and then more besides.

Our host, Lyz was very friendly and greeted  us when we arrived to show us in, and to say that she was on hand should we need her for anything.

    Both properties come fully equipped with Wi-Fi, kitchens with modern appliances, private outdoor spaces, and comfortable living areas. Each property sleeps 4.

  • How far are the properties from the nearest beach?

    Both Curlew Cottage and Oyster Catcher are a 10 minute walk from the famous Niarbyl Bay. This is a stunning site no matter what the weather!

  • Is parking available at the properties?

    Yes, both Curlew Cottage and Oyster Catcher have free private parking spaces available for guests.

  • What is the check-in and check-out time?

    Check-in is from 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. If you need flexible times, feel free to contact us in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.

  • Are the properties family-friendly?

    Yes, both properties are family-friendly. Both properties have a garden is perfect for families with children. High chairs and cribs are available upon request.

  • Are dogs welcome?

    Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a lead when outside of the garden. This is a working farm with cows in calf and sheep in lamb at certain times of the year.
